I love this time of year! I especially love all the different recipes that only get made this time of year. I made one of these recipes. Not that it couldn’t be made all year but for some reason I only make it in December. It is the yummy cinnamon butter. They make a nice little gift. I had fun decorating the jars with our designer papers, ribbons and punches.
I used a 2″ circle punch and the designer paper to put on the lid. I attached it with glue dots. I also used the glue dots to attach the Sprig punch pieces. I only used two punched out sprigs but you can certainly do more. The ribbon bow and the ribbon around the lid were also attached with glue dots.
The recipe for the cinnamon butter is 2 sticks of butter at room temperature, 1/4 cup of honey, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla. I used 4oz mason jars and estimated one stick of butter per jar. I did have some leftover for my family. It makes yummy toast in the morning. Check out the supplies used for this cute jars of yummy goodness below.
I know they say Summer is almost over but I’m hanging on to it as long as possible! Flowers always speak Spring and Summer to me so I’m showcasing the Abstract Impressions Bundle. I love all the possibilities with this bundle.
This is a photopolymer stamp set with 21 stamps including images and words. It is a 2-step stamp set so you get great images with details. Use the lighter ink on the first stamp and a darker ink on the second stamp to make a quick and easy card.
This bundle also makes great 3-D projects like pictures for decorating your home and scrapbook pages for those wonderful memories of Summer. The Springtime Impressions Thinlit dies are part of the bundle. The detailed butterfly makes a wonderful addition to a card or decoration. The corner die can be used in whole on the corner of a card or scrapbook page, you can add color to the die cut or you can cut up the shapes in the piece to be used separately. So many different options to choose from!
Also used from the Garden Impressions Suite is the Garden Impressions 6″ x 6″ Designer Series paper. These papers will make beautiful cards on their own. Just add a sentiment and you have a quick card. They also coordinate with the Abstract Impressions Bundle. Tip for today – when you turn over the package of designer papers you will see all the coordinating colors to use with the papers. No guess work involved! I love the way everything with Stampin’ Up! coordinates. This takes your stamping to a whole new level.
The supplies for my card are listed below. You can order these supplies and more by clicking HERE. Enjoy the rest of your Summer!
I am currently in Florida with my Dad while he is in hospice care. I was going through stamping withdrawal being away from all my supplies at home in Connecticut so I had supplies sent to Florida. One of those items was the Color Your Season bundle. Here are the cards I made one night with this limited time set.
I did do some fussy cutting for the flowers. The flowers were colored in with both packages of watercolor pencils. Color in the center of the petals and use the blender pen to pull the color out to the rest of the petal. the color will get lighter as you pull out the color giving the petals a shaded effect.
I don’t have my Big Shot with me in Florida so it was a challenge for the background of the cards. I normally use an embossing folder for a little background detail. This time I used the designer paper layered with a coordinating cardstock for interest.
It always a nice idea to stamp the bottom left corner or the back flap of the envelope. It’s a hint of what’s inside.
Look and these great colors in the new set of watercolor pencils.
There are a lot of possibilities with this bundle. It is only available the month of August so order yours Here today!
