Bee Thankful

As much as I don’t like to admit it, it seems summer is leaving us so fall isn’t far behind. With fall comes the start of the new school year.  One of my daughters is a school teacher. When I saw the Bee Happy stamp in the annual catalog, I had to make some thank you cards for all the precious gifts she will be receiving from her students this year.

Isn’t the Bee Thankful stamp the cutest stamp you’ve ever seen? I couldn’t wait to (more…)

Inspiring Iris

The Inspiring Iris set was on my must have list when the new catalog came out in June. I love the instant gratification of 2-step stamping. For 2-step stamping, stamp the outline in black or a darker ink then stamp the color inside the lines. It makes the card come together very quickly.

Just like my last post you can see here, I made my own designer paper by randomly (more…)

Seaside Notions

I’m fortunate to spend time at a little place in Narragansett Bay during the nicer months. I love being near the water, listening to the waves hit the shore and watching the ships and boats in the bay. So it seemed only right to play with the Seaside Notions stamp set while I was here.

I wanted to make my own background paper with this set. I randomly stamped the images with (more…)

Open House 2019

When the new Stampin’ Up! annual catalog comes out in June, it’s time for Open House! A lot of planning and preparation goes into those few hours of fun such as what will we do for make & takes, the display table samples and ideas, the door prizes and raffle basket and of course the refreshments. The retired table is always a hot spot as well.

I couldn’t do it all without help from my downline girls, friends and family. I was blessed to have (more…)

Beautiful Friendship

When you get the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog in your hands, what is the first thing you look for?  Usually, I go to the back and look at all the new accessories. This year, however, looking through the new catalog, I fell in love with a bunch of new stamp sets. The Beautiful Friendship stamp set really stood out to me. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and start playing! I needed a few thank you cards so this is the card I created.

The main card is Rococo Rose with a layer of Smoky Slate. First I stamped the Birch stamp on (more…)

First Steps

I love going to baby showers. I love seeing the excitement and anticipation of the mom-to-be. She is usually tired and happy at the same time as she talks about her little one. Here is the card I made for a baby shower I recently attended using the First Steps stamp set .

The First Steps stamp set is so cute with the baby hands and feet.  The foot stamps are (more…)

Happiness Blooms Suite

I am so ready for Spring aren’t you? Flower stamps are some of my favorite stamps. This Happiness Blooms Suite was a must have for me. I love all the bright colors in the designer papers. Here is a birthday card created for a swap I recently participated in.

As you can see in the image below, there are so many options with this Happiness Blooms Suite.

I used the Dot To Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder in the birthday card above. It’s easy to miss in the Occasions catalog if you’re not looking for it. It is located on page 25. Its just the right background for this suite and also looks great with the frog set So Hoppy Together in the Sale-A-Bration catalog on page 13.

See below for all the supplies used for the birthday card shown above.

All My Love Designer Series Paper

Doesn’t Stampin’ Up! carry the most beautiful designer papers? They take paper crafting and card making to a whole new level. The All My Love Designer Series Paper is a set of those gorgeous papers.

The patterns in these designer papers coordinate nicely with each other. You can use the busier designs paired with a more muted pattern design and have a quick easy card that looks great!

My Tip – Remember to check the coordinating colors listed on the back of the All My Love Designer Series Papers. Choosing these colors helps to tie your project together nicely. All supplies for this project are listed below.

Meant To Be Bundle

Have you seen the new Occasions catalog yet? If you don’t have one, let me know and I will certainly get you one along with the Sale-A-Bration catalog. During Sale-A-Bration when you spend $50 in merchandise you get a FREE item in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. Spend $100 and you get 2 FREE items and so on. There are so many new things to explore!

The Meant To Be Bundle is the first set I played with from the new Occasions catalog. All the different heart stamps in the set have various designs with many different shaped hearts. My favorite is the heart with the design all along the inside edge. And how cute are those little hearts?

The Be Mine Stitched Framelit Dies are part of this bundle. My favorite die so far is the detailed heart shown above cut out in the Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets (a freebie in the Sale-A-Bration catalog). There is a tiny heart at the very bottom of the point of the heart. I was looking for a little something to put around the words and this tiny heart was just the ticket. It was just Meant To Be. This die set also has many different size hearts and edging dies to make some really beautiful cards for that special someone for Valentine’s Day, birthdays, weddings or to let someone know you care and are thinking of them. The All My Love Designer Series Paper goes well with this bundle. I pulled the colors from the designer series paper for the coordinating cardstock.   A couple of tips in making this card – The Powder Pink cardstock is embossed using the new Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. When using these Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing folders, be sure to lightly spritz the cardstock with water. It helps to break down the cardstock fibers a bit so the cardstock does not crack when embossed and gives better detail from the folder. Also use glue dots to adhere the cardstock layers on top of the embossed cardstock layer. The snail adhesive does not hold as well as the glue dots on the uneven surface.

All supplies are listed below for this project.

Don’t miss out on all the excitement of the New Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs.

More Christmas Card Ideas

Here are the last few Christmas cards I am sharing this year. They are some of my favorites. This first card I wanted to use up Christmas designer papers I had from the Holiday catalog. I also used glimmer paper with the Sprig punch to make the swag embellishment. I always use glue dots when putting glimmer paper together. There is dimensionals behind the sentiment for added texture. The bow is also adhered with a glue dot.

The next card is actually a gift card or money holder. I got the idea from Patty Bennett. I changed up the designer papers. I wanted to make it look like a present. The sentiment inside actually came from two different stamp sets.

This next card uses the Dashing Deer Bundle from the Holiday catalog. I love the dies in this bundle.

This last card is simple but elegant. I like to use embossing during the Christmas season. I used copper embossing powder on this card. The inside words are also embossed. The sentiment on the front is actually two stamps put on the same block.

I hope you all have a happy, healthy new year and I look forward to seeing you all soon!
