I’m fortunate to spend time at a little place in Narragansett Bay during the nicer months. I love being near the water, listening to the waves hit the shore and watching the ships and boats in the bay. So it seemed only right to play with the Seaside Notions stamp set while I was here.

I wanted to make my own background paper with this set. I randomly stamped the images with Basic Gray then colored areas with the Blends markers. As a result, the cards look great with any cardstock that coordinates with the Blends colors used. I also colored the white ribbon with the Blends marker to match the card. This card uses Calypso Coral cardstock.

The card below used So Saffron. The stamped background is the very same as the card above. The ribbon was colored with the So Saffron Blends marker.

Here is another card using Seaside Notions with more of a neutral tone. I sponged and roughed up the edges on the cardstock layers. The seahorse was stamped and cut out. I had sponged the color lightly on the seahorse and used dimensionals.

Here are a few more ideas to spur on your creativity.
