We all have lots of designer series paper in our craft stash don’t we? I know I do! And until recently, I hated to cut it up and use it because it’s so pretty. Well, there is always more paper we can order or even get more of the same print. So cut up that paper and send out some cards! People really appreciate the cards right now with all we have been through this past year.
This particular card uses the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper from the January -June 2021 Mini Catalog on page 33. The floral sides of this paper are gorgeous! The reverse side has muted patterns which are perfect to balance out the card. Look at the back side of the package of designer paper for the coordinating colors for your cardstock, ink and embellishments.
The card base is 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″. Score on the 8 1/2″ side at at 4 1/4″. The first designer paper layer is 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″. The square in the middle is cardstock cut at 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ then the designer layer is 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″. I did use dimensionals on the square piece to make it pop and add more interest. Tie some coordinating ribbon on the square piece then add your sentiment. this sentiment came from the Art Gallery stamp set and was cut out with the Floral Gallery dies. I cut extra pieces of coordinating cardstock to layer under the sentiment and attached it to the card with more dimensionals.
Inside the card you can add a piece of Basic White cardstock and stamp a coordinating image in the corner. Don’t forget to stamp on your envelope too! These cards go together quickly, look great and will make someone’s day!
